Back in August, I entered the world of scale RC by purchasing an Axial Base Camp. I didn’t know at the time how addicting this would be. My attention turned from everything to this little truck. Just learning everything I could about it and how to make it climb all the things.
Since then, I have added new tires and wheels, some brass steering knuckle covers, a new RX and controller, and some nifty 3D printed scale additions like side mirrors and a roll bar. I have made it my own and have run it all over things that seem impossible to climb.
I have a few other 1/24 scale crawlers and a Big Rock Basher but the Base Camp is my current joy. Now that the snow is here, I might be brave and do a run on the pile of snow in front of the house. We shall see.
